Seeking Expressions of Interest from LDSB Students to Join the Community Equity Advisory Committee (CEAC)

The Limestone District School Board has established the Community Equity Advisory Committee (CEAC) to support the Board in identifying and eliminating barriers to an equitable and inclusive environment for students, staff, and the broader community, and determining strategies for systemic implementation of LDSB’s Equity and Action Plan. 

The Board is Seeking Expressions Of Interest From LDSB Students to sit on the committee. 

• Students must be entering Grades 11 or 12 in September 2026. Students are expected to attend at least 3 of the 4 quarterly meetings of the committee in person. Meetings take place between 5:00-7:00 pm at the Education Centre. 
• Applicants should indicate in their expression of interest how they will offer diverse perspectives and/or lived experiences including (but not limited to) Anti-Black Racism, Anti-Indigenous Racism, Antisemitism, Ableism/Disabilities, Homophobia, Transphobia, Islamophobia, and/or Poverty/Classism.
• The term of student members of the committee shall be 1 year with the possibility of a one-year extension. 
• Student members will be provided with volunteer hours.
